In early ’60s, Malcolm X stated that “[…] Probably the most unprotected part of America may be the Black Lady. Probably the most neglected part of America may be the Black lady.” That which was true then, continues to be true today. Allow me to explain.
In the past, so that as it stands today, Black ladies have found themselves in the intersection of two systems of oppression: patriarchy and white-colored supremacy. Like our white-colored siblings, Black ladies have learned we're the lesser from the genders. We've endured exactly the same oppressions, from not permitted to election, take part in politics, or have an education, not to being given serious attention when harassed or injured.
